Ponca City RCB Bank Fundraiser for Relay For Life

RCB Bank hosts bake sale, garage sale and Scentsy fundraiser benefiting Relay For Life

Staff at both of the RCB Bank Pioneer branches in Ponca City, located at 1223 E. Highland Avenue and 2701 N. 14th Street, are taking part in the 2010 Kay County Relay For Life, slated for June 18th at AMBUC Motorcross Track from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Ponca City.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at the track and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.

The theme of this year’s event is birthdays.  RCB will have a booth and will be making flip flops with a Hawaiian Birthday Theme.  The bank is planning three special fundraisers to help the American Cancer Society meet their goal.

RCB employees are selling Scentsy candles now thru Monday, May 17th.  Hurry and get your order in.  Twenty percent of the sales goes directly to the American Cancer Society.

Additionally, RCB will host a garage sale on Saturday, May 22nd, in the North bank’s parking lot from 8 a.m. to noon. Anyone who would like to donate items can do so at the bank anytime before that Saturday. All donations are tax-deductible.

In support of the June 18th relay, a bake sale will be held inside both of the RCB bank locations on the day of the event. Along with delicious baked items like pies, cakes, cookies, and brownies, the staff will also be selling flavored popcorn, and seasoned crackers!

For more information about the events or the effort, call the bank at (580) 718-2774 and ask for Mandi Adams.
