CLAREMORE, OK – Representatives from the Oklahoma Bankers Association presented an Honors Award to Roger T. Evans, Vice President of the RCB Bank Claremore South branch for outstanding work at the OBA’s 2009 Consumer Lending School on Wednesday.
“I am honored to be selected by the Board of Governors, as well as by my peers,” said Evans. “To be recognized by my peers is one of the finest compliments I could receive.”
Evans received a plague, presented by Consumer Lending School Chairman, Tracy Stine, who is Vice President of First American Bank in Woodward. In addition to the award, Evans has also been asked to serve as an advisory member of the 2010 Consumer Lending School Board of Regents.
Evans was selected for the Consumer Lending School honor based on his outstanding work on the school’s exam and his contribution to and participation in class. He was chosen by the school’s regents, staff, faculty and students.
“We applaud Roger’s accomplishments at the lending school,” said Tim Cutsinger, Claremore Market President for RCB Bank. “Continuing education is strongly encouraged for our employees. The more educated a banker is on the regulations and services we offer, the better we can serve our customers.”
Consumer credit is one of the highest profile and most diverse operations in a bank. The annual lending school is designed to give students the knowledge of the consumer credit function, policies and procedures, and develop the skills needed to manage the assets of their banks and meet the credit needs of their customers. Specific areas of training include: loan application generation and loan closing, loan pricing, and structuring, direct and indirect lending, real estate and home equity products, lender liability, regulation, loan policy development and loan administration. Entry into the school is limited to 70 students per year.
“Having graduated from this class will give me a better opportunity to provide my customers and even higher level of service,” said Evans.
Evans joined the bank in 2008 as Vice President at the RCB South branch located at 1600 S. Lynn Riggs Blvd., in Claremore. He graduated from NSU in 1998. Originally from Tulsa, Evans, his wife, Amy, and their two children now live in Claremore.
